Roam from Home | Invisible Beauty: The Art of Archaeological Science
by Penn Museum When people imagine archaeologists, they often picture someone working in the field, but new discoveries are constantly happening in the laboratory. Using instruments to reveal the microscopic and hidden world, archaeologists and anthropologists are able to answer questions related to technology, use, trade, diet, health, and the environment. Join us as we go under the microscope and bring this often-overlooked vantage point to life! Penn Ph.D. Candidate in Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World, Janelle Sadarananda, will uncover how these large format images of archaeological materials illuminate the astoundingly beautiful world around us, evoking a sense of wonder at multiple scales.
